THE TRUTH

There are many things I believe is true. People would say the wars in the world, our history, 1+1=2, the 9-11, us dying, and so on. But what I believe is true is that there is a Heaven and a Hell. Even though some people say that there’s no Heaven, and no God, I still believe in this. I believe that heaven was created by God, and that Hell was created by an angel that was once banished from Heaven by God. And this is my opinion because I do go to a Catholic school. Going to a catholic school taught me about these things. I say that there is a heaven and a God because of all the things that have happened. There have been many things that God gave us. He gave us Jesus, his son. He also gave us life. And I guess that is all I have to say about the truth.

 

WHAT DO I WANT TO LEARN FROM MY CULTURE?

There are many things i want to learn from my culture. But the main thing I want to learn is the music. There are many questions i want to ask. An example is how it all started? Right now, it is all musica ranchera. But they also have Spanish rock which started a few years ago. But the thing that surprises me is that like at about 25% of music in Mexico is mostly from here in the U.S. What i mean by this is that the music is hip-hop, rap, or other kind of genres. But most of it is Spanish music. I also want to know more about many famous music artists that came from Mexico. One famous artists is Vicente Fernandez. I want to know a lot about him and how his career got him to be so famous. And this is what i want to learn from m y culture.

WHAT DO I NEED FROM MY PARENTS?

Well, I need lots of things from my parents. But the main thing that i want from my parents is time and attention. What i mean is that my parents are always working. We don’t spend much time together anymore. We do eat together at dinner, and do other things together, but not anymore. I say this because my sister, my uncle, my dad, and i used to go to the movies once a month, but not anymore. We also used to rent movies with the family and watch them together, but not anymore. I don’t need materials like toys, video games, and other things. All i am trying to say is that i need some family time with my parents. Well, not everyday for the rest of my life. What i mean when i say this is that maybe once a week, my family and i can do things together. I’m not desperate for wanting to spend some time with my parents, but it just feels weirdwithout having family time with your parents.

Reflective Blog On The Outsiders.

What I thought about working with the students was that it was a great experience for me. I had a lot of fun doing the Outsiders project with the students in Canada. But even though we had some technical difficulties, we managed to fix the problem. One part that I liked doing was taking pictures. My partners and I were supposed to take three pictures each. Another thing I really liked was the chatting with the students in Canada. I think that this project came out great. We think that we did a good job. And I guess that is all i have to day about working with the students in Canada.

The ending of The Outsiders.

The word I would choose to define chapters 11 and 12 is friendship, because toward the end of the book, the gangs started to stop fighting. And toward the end, they approved that ponyboy was innocent. And then the judge closed the case. And after that happened, they all left the court. Then they went to visit ponyboy at his house. And in the end ponyboy, sodapop, and Darry always stayed together and promised each other that they wouldn’t fight anymore. And that is the end of The Outsiders.

Chapters 9-10.

The word I would choose to define chapters 9 and 10 is fear. I chose this word because Ponyboy was really scared. The battle between the Greasers and Socs made him really scared. Ponyboy was scared of getting hit. He was one of the first ones to get hit. He must of thought that he was going to go to the hospital just like Johnny. He may also thought that he was going to die or something else. That is why I chose fear to define chapters 9 and 10.

The IM Connection.

After the skpe call, we had the IM. Instant Messaging on yahoo. When we had to do this connection, we had to talk about the questions we all talked about. Our group members were Skye, Katie, Adolfo, Francisco and me. The whole group only got to answer about 2 questions, because of the problems that occurred in the IM. Not all of us got to get on the IM. In our first question, we had to define power. Our group had many answers, because everyone was saying random things about power. They were saying money, love, and knowledge. In our second question, we had to explain how power affects a personal relationship. For this, we where saying things randomly again. Money and love are some examples we chose to agree on. For example, when someone doesn’t have money, it can bring harm on a family. Not enough money is also another example of people, because they do things like stealing, cheating. Or love. When you show love to others, the relationships become stronger as an effect. But if you don’t show any love in your relationship, that relationship will eventually die. Because we all thought differently, we got a lot of answers for the questions. I used to believe that power can be all kinds of things, I usually thought is was mostly money. But it is many things. Now, I know many things that defines power.

Chapters 5 and 6.

The word I would choose to define chapters 5 and 6 is heroism. I chose this word because of many reasons. in both chapters, they change in activities. In the chapter, Ponyboy and Johnny are trying to save children from a burning church. But then Darry had to help them out because Johnny and ponyboy knew that they were both stuck in the fire. And this shows me me heroism. And this is what I think shows heroism in both chapters.

My thoughts on The Outsiders: Chapters 3-4.

     I have many thoughts about the chapters in the book. The word I would choose to define chapters 3-4 in the book is excitement. What I mean when the book has excitement, I mean that it had adventure and has a lot of action. When I was reading the book, they were changing. What I mean is that, the chapters were changing in action or mood. In chapter 3, things were happening, but not much. And in chapter 4, things changed. Their was more tension.  When I was reading the book, I didn’t know that Johnny was going to kill David(a Soc). And this is what I mean when I say that the best word to define both chapters is excitement. And this is what I think about chapters 3 and 4.

The Skype Call.

When we had a skype call with the students of Canada, it was a very great experience for me. It is cool that we have that kind of technology. Even though we had some problems in hearing or seeing the Canadian students on the screen, later on we were ready and everything was running as it should be. The whole class heard some interesting things about defining power, how it was used in a relationship or what where some affects around you or other people.

Now our group. Our group members of Skye, Katie, Adolfo, Francisco and me. The whole group only got to answer about 2 questions, because of the problems that occurred in the Skype Call connection.
